GENIO

Sw CAD/CAM AutoCad OEM

CAD/CAM software integrated in AutoCad© for parametric programming of boring, routing and edge-banding workcenters

OVERVIEW

Genio is a powerful CAD/CAM system based on AutoCad© 2004 OEM enviroment (the AutoCad© engine is distributed within the application)
The operator can draw or import geometries and then apply in a fast and easy way all machinings required to reach the optimum result
Machinings can be programmed in parametric form by using the Genio Macro Programming Language, this allows users to build powerful parametric libraries personalized for their own components
Genio allows the remote programming of several machines from a single position
Genio is the right choice for the company that looks at the future

BASIC FEATURES

CAD environment with AutoCad® 2002/2004 engine and functionalities
Import of tools and suction cups data from the machine control. Tool definition
Management of both geometries and machinings with several CAD
functions (delete, copy, paste, move, rotate, etc..)
Vertical, horizontal or slanting drillings: single holes, hole barriers or
hole series on given geometries
Vertical, horizontal or slanting routings, on any processable geometry
Programming of millings lead In/Out, Start/End points, starting point, tool offset, speeds, etc...
Linear or concentric pocketings on any-shape closed solid geometries with finish passage and automatic recognition of the internal islands (holes) of pocketings
Cam utility for internal corner cleaning of any processable profile
(function useful for doors)
Management of machinings with conic tools on closed geometries
(3D engravings)
Definition of user working planes (slanting planes)
Parametric Macro programming with Excel-like macro language (parametric Macro library supplied with the software)
Machinings dimensioning and reports saved as Excel spreadsheet or as text file
Automatic check for programmes feasibility
Visualisation of machinings with 3D solid view and simulation
Text and symbols, from true type fonts, as workable geometries
Connection with digitizer for points acquisition on a profile
Automatic generation of machinings sequences from a drawing
according to a predefined machining profiles (Genio wizard)
Export/import of programmes to/from CNC Working Centre.

NESTING

The nesting process allows to cut a list of any-shape panels (pieces) starting from a set of any-shape given materials (sheets) with the object of minimize the total waste. The Genio nesting utility supports the following features:

Sheet archive programming and used material unloading
Piece list programming with pieces of different materials (multi-job programming)
Free-Form, rectangular and guillotine cuts nestings
Pieces tagging
Override cutting patterns manually
Printable cutting patterns
Production and requirements reports
Labels Editor
Labels printing on dedicated printer or on Windows printer
Output of optimized CNC nesting programmes.

RASTER TO VECTOR

The Raster to Vector utility allows to import saved raster images files as Autocad drawings that can processed to generate the correspondent CNC code. The utility supports the following features:

Import of images stored in files with several graphics formats supported (bitmap, jpeg, tif, etc..) as workable drawings
Selection of the insertion point, rotation and scale of drawings onto the screen
Vectoralization on centerlines or on outlines with automatic detection of entities such as arcs and lines.

PARAMETRIC GEOMETRIES PROGRAMMING

The Parametric programming utility allows to apply parametric constraints to existing geometries with the object to make parametric the correspondent tooling paths The utility supports the following features:

Parametrization of drawings with programmed constraints for existing polylines
Utilization of global or defined local variables available within formulas
Automatic programming of preset constraints (fixed distances from panel edges, centering, mirroring, etc..)
Setting of tangent constraints between two consecutive graphic entities (Arc-to-arc)
Built-in parametric library.
