In order to cope with scheduling and monitoring weaving machines in a weaving mill, Van de Wiele has developed a network system which makes it possible to control the carpet weaving machines from a central planning office.
CAD designs can be analyzed and checked on design failures. Designs are catalogued in a design library.
Weave structures that will be applied to the designs can be designed graphically.
Special developed software generates production orders from an order book with customer orders regarding an optimal production process and a minimum of waste with the possibility to visualize the carpets, to calculate the yarn consumption, to make production sheets, … .
Production orders are sent to the best suited carpet weaving machine using an electronic planningboard.
The status of the looms is continuously monitored. Production data are stored in a data base and can be accessed through an intranet.
We@velink can be easily interfaced to other software such as ERP systems or customer computer applications.
As a summary, it can be said that the We@velink system really uses the complete flexibility of the carpet weaving machines in an optimal way.
